a SSoA Year 2 project about performance and creating spaces for it
Showing flexible space inside the theatre.
P1 was, in my case, represented by the challenge of developing a small-scale public building, namely a bicycle rental shop. It was to be situated in the Peak District area near Castleton and it was supposed to be in a semi-rural area. The whole project had to be centred around the concept of an existing threshold on site.

My site for the Cycle Centre was in the Peak District, close to Castleton. It was in the valley of Cave Dale, overseen by the remnants of the Peverill Castle.
A close study of the site area was required for this project. We had to draw on A0 format a figure ground drawing of the site at a scale of 1:100 or 1:200. In the original A0 format, my figure ground drawing is at 1:200.

This section trough the valley and the castle wall shows just how small my actual design is compared to the surrounding environment. It is at a scale of 1:100 in the original A0 format.
